Living in a metropolis is not just a physical act. We carry all sorts of complexity and hectic exuberance simultaneously in our mind. When I think seriously of the life we live in a city, it seems to me absurd and surreal. First food then public transportation, rumor, insecurity, joy and anger… everything gets overlapped in my subconscious. So I may not be able to explain any of them separately. In my paintings I wanted to capture those complex thoughts of city life that is more real than reality but apparently look like surreal.
