He lives and works in Baroda Core idea about this series: In this I address certain issues, which cause major imbalance in our environment and eco-system. Through my artistic process and impetus I want to spread the message to create awareness among the mass/public, especially the younger generation, to save endangered species from animals to foliage. I hope to instill a sense of empathy so that they learn to care for nature. About the work: This new work focuses mainly on the dying, endangered and extinct species of our world. We are all on the brink of extinction. I am enquiring here into all specie, like reptiles, animals, insects, birds and plants that have come to verge of extinction or are endangered. My subjects have been oscillating between human gluttony and its perilous repercussions. What humans as a race have done in its existence of past 3000 years, the waste we dispose irresponsibly, the carbon footprints, the global warming, the ecological imbalance- the state in which we have brought the earth to, is worse than one can imagine. I am here to make everyone self reflect. The portraits of these endangered/disappearing animals like rhino, white beer, sea turtle, blackbuck etc. My medium is complimentary/approving via, scrapped colours, layered thin coat of oil colour, rubbed and scratched with blade/ sharp tools reproaching the compulsive human ignorance. The tonal variation of the work are in grey and hence probe and sets the mood of brood, grimace and speculation also I have used red colour which is colour of blood and I think it is in the body of all of us. I am trying to hang them on a wall and put the arc light “ on”- for everyone to focus and reflect as to- “ are we ready to take the responsibility”.
